| On Tuesday, October
8th, Dr. Kevin Chu a marine biologist with Sea Education Association
(SEA) presented a lecture
entitled "Whale Science and Policy, Oil and Vinegar or
Salt and Pepper". This lecture centered on the different
attitudes and information brought to the table by scientists
and fisherman when the subject of conserving species that are
declining in numbers is raised. He related that though scientist
try to bring the most correct information on the subject that
they have gathered, the attitudes and values of those affected
must also be considered. |
