Students participating in this year’s program participated in a comprehensive range of workshops. These classes were designed to expose them to the applications of mathematics in their lives. Workshops such as Air-Powered Rockets, Ground Penetrating Radar, Space Freeze, Science of Flight, and Careers in STEM challenged the girls to widen their perspectives on math. The ECSU faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students, visiting teachers and professors, as well as the Virginia Air & Space Center provided hands on instruction and training for the students.
