CWM - Opening

The opening of the Celebration of Women in Mathematics 2004 was held in the Moore Hall Auditorium. Dr. Linda Hayden, NASA Principal Investigator, opened the meeting with a welcome and announcements. Mrs. Gloria Phoenix, Instructor of Mathematics, talked about the occasion and introduced the "I Love Math" cheers. Students had a chance to show off their own cheers that they had written just for this event. Dr. Geaorgia Lawrence, Professor of Mathematics, followed with an overview of the careers in math. She went on to explain just how much income an individual missed by not attending college.
