Malcolm LeCompte, "Views & Visualization of Earth
from Space"
Dr.
Malcolm LeCompte, Executive Vice President, CTO, and Founder
of AstroVision a
company with the goal of providing the first live, color coverage
of Earth in history, presented "Views & Visualization
of Earth from Space". Dr. LeCompte has 21 years experience
leading research and development work for DoD sponsored programs
for electro-optical and remote sensing technologies. As CEO
for Astrovision, Dr. LeCompte:
- Founded
AstroVision to create the first commercial geostationary
earth monitoring system
- Established
AstroVision at the NASA Stennis Space Center
- Engaged
in innovative synthetic product development program to create
high fidelity market demonstrations of the AstroVision remote
sensing system
Dr.
Lecompte earned his Ph.D. in Atmospherics, Planetary and Astrophysical
Sciences from the University of Colorado in 1984, his MS in
Astrophysics from the University of Colorado in 1981, his
BS in Physics, Cum Laude from the University of Wyoming 1978,
and a BS in Aeronautics & Astronautics from New York University
in 1969.
