The URE OMS 2006 closing sessions were held on July 19 and 20. During these times research students were given the opportunity to present their research efforts from the summer session. On July 19, Research student Ryan Tubbs presented "Minorities in Ocean and Marine Science: Phone Conference with Dr. Frank Hall, Geological Oceanographer and Dr. Thomas Windham, NSF" . During this time, Dr. Hall and Dr. Windham took part in th session through a phone conference with the students. Dr. Barry Rock of the University of New Hampshire was also present to view the final presentations by the Remote Sensing team which he co-mentored with Dr. William Marquitz.
