The second day of the closing session included a meeting of the IEEE-GRSS Chapter, an IEEE-GRSS Distinguished Lecture, along with presentations and a poster session by the students. The IEEE-GRSS Lecture was presented by Dr. Robert McCoy (bio) of the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Dr. McCoy is the team leader for the Space Science Team within the Ocean Battlespace Sensing Department at ONR. His presentation was titled "New Low-cost Microsatellite Initiatives at ONR."(abstract) (Flash version of presentation). Another guest, Mr. Charles Luther, past president of the IEEE-GRSS, spoke on IEEE-GRSS and its impact.
