Team Field Trip, 07/09-13/03

| The
Whale Research Team took on a field trip to
Woods Hole, Massachusetts to see first hand
the area they had been researching. They were
able to visit museums, historic sites, and
marine scientists such as Dr. Ambrose Jearld,
Jr. of the Northeast Fisheries Science Center
in Woods Hole. Though they were unable to
view any Right Whales, the subject of their
research, they were able to view Humpback
Whales and their feeding. Water temperatures
were collected for ground truthing of satellite
data. |
