Land Cover/Biology Investigation
The GLOBE High School Research Team collected qualitative data
outside the campus of Elizabeth City State University near
the Lester Hall Building.
The students have classified a small area of land using the GLOBE MUC Field Guide Code Booklet. MUC stands for Modified UNESCO Classification. It is a land cover classification system developed by the team of researchers at the University of New Hampshire as part of the Land Cover Investigation of the GLOBE Program.
The students also conducted land measurements and measuring the degrees of the tallest tree using a clinometer and classifying species of birds. |
