The University of Ghana is my home institution and is the oldest and largest of the thirteen Ghanaian universities, excluding other numerous tertiary institutions. It is one of the best universities in West Africa. It was founded in 1948 as the University College of the Gold Coast, and was originally an affiliate college of the University of London, which supervised its academic programmes and awarded degrees.

Undergraduate Research Experience in Ocean, Marine, Polar Science (URE OMPS) 2011

The URE OMPS program objective is to promote the professional development of minority undergraduate students through their participation in ocean, marine and polar science research. The program consists of undergraduates, each student assigned to a specific research team, where they will work closely with the faculty. In addition, seminars, lunch meetings, and social functions are organized to facilitate undergraduate interaction.
