Perquimans County is located in Hertford, North Carolina this district consists of four schools: Perquimans Central, Hertford Grammar Perquimans Middle and Perquimans High school. Perquimans County is located in a rural section of northeastern North Carolina, bordered by Gates County on the north, Chowan County on the West, the Albemarle Sound on the south, and Pasquotank County and the Little River on the east.

Located in Pasquotank County, part of a waterfront community in eastern North Carolina and within an hour's drive of both Hampton Roads Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our school district serves nearly 6,000 students in twelve schools: seven elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools and one alternative school. Our district is served by a seven member Board of Education dedicated to ensuring that all of our students are prepared for the 21st century and beyond.
