Research

Currently my research team members and I are undergoing research concerning coastal upwelling off of the coast. Incidents of coastal upwelling bring about positive and negative effects. On one hand upwelling brings nutrient-enriched sediments to the surface encouraging growth, yet on the other hand upwelling causes low oxygen levels due excessive oxygen demand from massive phytoplankton bloom. This research is ongoing and the consequent information will be updated in conjunction with the findings of my research team.
