Year One Summary

  • Selection of the interdisciplinary team including mentors, consultants, and students
  • Four HBCU/MIs are now NOVA schools
  • Initial design of the lessons and images to be used on the first product
  • Initial design of the images on the front of the poster
  • Organize and conduct a NOVA workshop
  • Provide $25K in scholarships for Math, Math Education, and Geoscience majors

Year Two Activities

  • Participation in a Project Alert Conference
  • Submission of the first Product to the Earth Science Review Committee
  • Initial design of Product #2
  • If needed, revise product #1 in accordance with reviewer's comment
