Students participating in this year’s program participated in a comprehensive range of workshops. These classes were designed to expose them to the applications of mathematics in their lives. Workshops such as Air-Powered Rockets, Space Freeze, Science of Flight, and Careers in STEM challenged the girls to widen their perspectives on math.

The ECSU faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students, visiting teachers and professors, as well as NASA and the Virginia Air & Space Center provided hands on instruction and training for the students. Others presenting included: Mr. John Bartlett/Ms. Lonisha Whidbee of Port Discover, Noyce Scholars, David Sybert of the Coastal Studies Institute, Ms. Dominique Vaughan of the ECSU Aviation Department, and Mrs. Dana Cobb of ECSU's IT Department.
