Students participating in this year’s program participated in a comprehensive range of workshops. Seminars such as Wind Tunnels, Air-Powered Rockets, and Bungee Barbie Data Adventure were available. These classes were designed to expose them to the applications of mathematics in their lives. Other workshops such as Planetarium Shows, Ground Penetrating Radar, Space Freeze, Science of Flight, and Careers in STEM challenged the girls to widen their perspectives on math. The ECSU faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students, visiting teachers and professors, as well as the Virginia Air & Space Center provided hands on instruction and training for the students.
