Students participating in this year’s program participated in a comprehensive range of workshops. Seminars such as Space Robotics, Glacier Mass Balance, and Math Internet Scavenger Hunt were available. These classes were designed to expose them to the applications of mathematics in their lives. Other workshops such as Ground Penetrating Radar, Clouds, Weather & the Greenhouse Effect, and Careers in STEM challenged the girls to widen their perspectives on math. The ECSU faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as visiting teachers and professors provided hands on instruction and training for the students.
