| CWM 2006 - Workshops |
| Students participating in the 2006 CWM workshops found themselves involved with everything from spreadsheets to water quality testing all of which were designed to expose them to the applications of mathematics in our lives. Other workshops such as Satellite Images, Female Mathematicians, Math Internet Scavenger Hunt, and Solving Quadratic Equations challenged the girls to widen their perspectives on math. Several members of the ECSU faculty and Graduate students as well as visiting teachers and professors provided hands on instruction and training for the students. Several exhibits were also on display in the Jenkins Science Center including exhibits from the National Security Agency and NASA Langley. |
