Celebration of Women in Mathematics :: Math Sprint

Dr. Cheryl Lewis, ECSU Educational Talent Search program and Dr. Eleanor Green Dawley-Jones of Norfolk State University, retired, supervised this years Math Sprint Competition. Each school sponsored one team of girls to compete. The girls completed problems under a time constraint, were given points for correct answers, and were penalized for wrong answers. The winners were announced during the closing lunch and received trophies for their efforts.
