The sponsors of this years event from Elizabeth City State University were Dr. Carolyn Mahoney, Dr. Georgia Lawrence, and Dr. Linda Hayden. The NRTS program is funded by Nasa's MU-SPIN Program.

The MU-SPIN Program offers many valuable and needed services to the university community. These services include hands-on training to faculty and students in accessing resources available over the Internet; hands-on training to technical staff in local area and campus network installation, management and user support; technical sessions at annual conferences; and technical video lectures on network related issues, just to name a few.
