This
years Celebration of Women in Mathematics Day (Sonia Kovalevskaya
Day) was held on September 28th on the campus of Elizabeth City State
University. Girls and their teachers from Elizabeth City Middle School,
River Road Middle School, Weldon High School, Washington County Union,
and Enfield Middle school attended workshops and listened to speakers
on the role of women in the mathematics field today.
