Principles
The following annotations of the guiding principles of the National Science Education Standards (NSES) clearly portend much congruency between Globe and NSES. The four principles of the NSES are: 

• Science is for all students.
• Learning science is an active process.
• School science reflects the intelectual and cultural traditions that characterize the practice of contemporary science.
• Improving science education is part of the systemic education reform.
