My name is Anthony Anderson and I am a senior at Elizabeth City State University. I am majoring in computer science with a geographic information system (G.I.S) minor .Upon graduation; during the summer I will be applying for internships to obtain experience in my field of study. While attending Elizabeth City State University I have had the opportunity to expand my horizons. During the fall of 2003, I had the privilege to work in Dr. Linda Hayden’s Office of Naval Research (ONR) program. In the summer of 2003, I participated in the Undergraduate Research Experience (ONR) here at Elizabeth City State University. My research was based on “The correlation between Right Whale Distributions and Sea Surface Temperature.”. I learned a lot about right whales and sea surface temperature along with the tools needed to carry out the project. In order to obtain on site training, I will be applying for internships that will help build a competitive resume. I will also be furthering my education in remote sensing to remove education boundaries that I will be faced with in the job market
