The Undergraduate Research Experience in Ocean, Marine, and Space Science utilizes many water samples from the Pasquotank River in Northeast North Carolina. These samples are utilized in ground truthing and teaching students about the properties of water to be tested. The LH Viking Research Vessel allows students to collect samples and experience first hand the research that takes place in the field.
