Hello
My name is Jeremy Dwayne Emanuel. I am originally from Lumberton, North
Carolina. I am a Native American, and belong to the Lumbee tribe. I was
born and raised in the Saddletree community. Saddletree is located right
outside of Lumberton. I started working with my grandparents farming at
an early age. We farmed tobacco until I was 16. My grandparents had to stop
farming, because of health issues. Shortly after I went to work for the
Lumberton Recreation Department.
There are many activities I participate in. I love to play basketball, baseball, fish, hunt, and go to church. I am really active in church, I help with the youth group, teaches classes, and help with many other affairs also. The church that I attend is Bethel Hill Baptist. I graduated from Lumberton Senior High School at the age of 17. The next year I was attending the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I currently am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I plan to graduate in the year 2004. I hope to graduate with a Chemistry degree with a concentration in Biotechnology. I have aspirations that all the skills I have learned throughout life will help me to receive a comfortable position in the workplace.
