This program's objective is to promote the professional development of minority undergraduate students through their participation in scientific research in ocean, marine and polar sciences. The program is mentor based with faculty members who provide mentorship to the students.2009

Setting up an Erosion Monitoring Baseline for erosion Monitoring at Mukwe Beach
Undergraduate Research Paper submitted to the Department of Oceanography & Fisheries, University of Ghana (Unpublished).
Mentor: Dr. George Wiafe
The objective of the study was to set up a baseline which can be used as a reference in future studies of erosion trends at the Mukwe beach. The research also focused on the integration of shoreline data into already existing map formats that ensures easy update through the use of the remote sensing and GPS techniques.
