Among many other academic accomplishments,  Ernst Wilson has completed in 2002, ,a Masters degree at the International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg France.  As a scholar, he has extensively traveled to not only refine his knowledge in Space Sciences , Marine sciences, but also actively participate in technology and know-how transfer efforts. He has worked with scholars at the National Institute of Space Research, Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espacias (INPE), Brazil; Surrey Satellite technology in UK, specialized in the development of small, mini, micro, nano satellites; Tsinghua University Space Center, Beijing, China; Ahmadabad solar energy Center, India.

In 2002, upon his graduation, he has been admitted at the Rosenstiel graduate School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (RSMAS) to pursue a degree at the Doctoral level, where he would concentrate his interests in Meteorology Physical Oceanography (MPO) associated with the remote sensing group. He has decided, instead, to accept some civic engagements in the Caribbean islands, in the field of marine and terrestrial Environment.

Ernst Wilson is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified pilot, an open ocean rescue and divemaster. He has served, in 2008, as a consultant for the creation of an academic  Space program within the Aviation Science Department at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU).

Not to forget in his palmares, an All but Dissertation (ABD) from New York University (NYU) in the field of Modern Literature.
