My name is Johnathan Branch, I was born in Raleigh NC. I am now a freshman at Elizabeth City State University majoring in computer science. In high school I graduated with a GPA of 3.7 and happen to be nominated for the national honor society. I recently graduated from Northern highschool in Durham,NC. Growing up around computers my enitre life has sort of forced me to love technology. Has a child my father would take me to his place of work which was at the International Business Machines Corporation and he would show me all types of projects he be assigned to and others he had finished.My favorite which made me want to follow in his footsteps was when he built this miniature robot. My father has been a huge mentor and influence in my life.It is an honor to be able to join Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) as a freshman because it will help reach my goals of becoming a computer anaylyst. CERSER is a research program that is overseen by Dr. Linda B. Hayden that helps students gain internships, and it also helps students understand their fields they will be majoring in. My goal is to recieve a Bachelors in Computer science and then gain my Masters in the Computer science field.
