My name is Antonio Guion: I come Blounts Creek, North Carolina. I am a freshman at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) majoring in Computer Sciences with a concentration in Information Systems. I have always enjoyed tinkering with computers, but what really motivated me to pursue a career was my mentor for my senior project. Mr. Glenn Williams showed me that a computer is not just merely a tool or machine; it is a way of making life easier for people.

As a freshman, I was granted the privilege of joining the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) scholarship program, which is led by Dr. Linda Hayden. I am very thankful for the numerous skills that I have learned which will aid me in my future as a member of the workforce. One primary factor will be able to utilize is how to uses LINUX based systems, and Dreamweaver.

In the future, I plan to take internships and furthering my education in graduate school with a focus in Information Systems. While taking what I have learned in CERSER as a basis for my further learning. After I graduate I will pursue an occupation in databases primarily in the field of search engines and system design.
