| Professional Statement |
My name is Shahee Jackson and I am a freshman here at Elizabeth City State University majoring in computer science with a minor in science. Computer science will help me significantly on getting my Master's in engineering technology. As I prepared myself for college in high school I told myself I would pick a major that revolves around the world today and for the future which connects with computer science and technology. Also, at a young age in a social networking world I realized my eager interests for computers and told myself I would master everything there is to know about them. Thanks to Dr. Linda B. Hayden of the Elizabeth City State University Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing and Education (CERSER) my journey to success has begun.
As of now I have begun my training in the CERSER program. This is a program that I know I will learn a lot from my directors and my peers throughout my time here. Computer science is something I want to add to my assets. Focusing and taking heed to everything being taught is the best way for me to prepare myself as I go along, adjusting to different sections and concepts of computer science, and attending training sessions that will help me be successful in this program.
Planning for the future is something that I take seriously. My future plans are to earn my Bachelor's in computer science and attend graduate school. In graduate school I will obtain my Master's in engineering technology. I want to create a social network site that would positively benefit everyone. Being in CERSER, and completing internships will only help me strengthen my knowledge and goals towards my future. |
