Growing up in a small town called Portsmouth, which is located in in the Hampton Roads area; I became familiar with the suburbs.  I attended I. C. Norcom high school, which is a math, science, and technology school.  there a program is offered that helps students who are more advanced in their studies to take courses that are advanced to help prepare them for college.  This program is called the Magnet program and it was one of the organizations that I was enrolled in.

I like to take course in math, science and technology because I am more familiar with them and I feel comfortable taking these courses due to the program I was enrolled in during high school.  While at high school, I played various sports and participated in numerous extracurricular activities.  During my years in high school I played junior varsity basketball where I was the co-caption.  I was also in the Interact club where I was the secretary for three years, French club, National Honor Society and Access Pre-College club.  Other sports that I played were tennis (co-captain) and track.

My major is computer science with a concentration in applied mathematics.  I chose this major because after I graduate from college I would like to work for a major business where I can program computers.  I also plan to continue my education on to graduate school where I can get my master's degree in computer science.

throughout my years  as a student at Norcom I was recognized in the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 edition of Who's Who Among American High School Students, Coaches and Number One Player award for tennis; graduated Cum Laude, inducted into the National Honor Society and as of now I am an ONR student researcher.
