OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Mathematics, Science, and Aerospace Technology Magnet
Program are to
- utilize an interdisciplinary approach that includes a variety of
instructional strategies to address learning styles and individual needs.
- prepare students to compete as productive citizens in the global
technical society of the twenty - first century in mathematics,science
and technology related fields by stressing critical thinking, problem solving,
written and verbal communications skills, and technology application.
- develop cooperative partnerships with parents, academia, and the
scientific/industrial community to provide opportunities for students to
participate in independent and group research, and mentorship programs.
- provide field experiences and state-of-the art classrooms and laboratories
to prepare students for a technological society. * provide workshops and
seminars in career college planning, group dynamics, effective study skills,
and time management skills.
