Students participating in this years program had a wide range of workshop opportunities to take advantage of. Everything from spreadsheets to scavenger hunts were available, all of which were designed to expose them to the applications of mathematics in our lives. Other workshops such as GPS, Ground Penetrating Radar, Discovering Female Mathematicians, Math Internet Scavenger Hunt, and Mathematics of Flight challenged the girls to widen their perspectives on math. Several members of the ECSU faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as visiting teachers and professors provided hands on instruction and training for the students. Several exhibits were also on display in the Jenkins Science Center including exhibits from the National Security Agency, NASA Langley, and the Virginia Air and Space Center.
