After a morning of classroom work on soil investigations,
the group headed to Waterfront Park in Elizabeth
City for some hands on work in water sampling. Unable
to launch the LH Viking Research Vessel due to construction
work going on by the US Coast Guard, researchers
undertook the task of sampling local waters in the
park for their data collections.
