On 27 February 2003, representatives from Elizabeth City State University attended the You Be The Scientist (YBTS) Program at Churchland Middle School. Dr. Linda Hayden, Mr. Carl Seward, and Ms. Eunice Smith made presentation on Math and Science and students from Churchland made presentations on satellite imagery and the YBTS group.
