NOBCChE 44th Annual Meeting |
On October 30, 2017, Dr. Linda Hayden attended the 44rd Annual National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) Conference as a representative of the Science Gateways Institute. The theme for this year’s meeting was “Community, Leadership & Partnerships.”
Dr. Hayden is the Director of Elizabeth City State University's Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) and leads the NSF Science Gateway Community Institute workforce development efforts.
“The mission of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) is to build an eminent cadre of successful diverse global leaders in STEM and advance their professional endeavors by adding value to their academic, development, leadership, and philanthropic endeavors throughout the life-cycle of their careers.”
The Science Gateways Community Institute sponsored several computational chemistry research presentations during the 2017 NOBBChE Conference.
