NASA PIMERS ECSU CERSER NIA

On August 21, 2017, the students and staff of the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) gathered at ECSU and the Virginia Air & Space Center (VASC) to view the solar eclipse event.

NASA viewing glasses were distributed to schools, community groups, and other individuals so that they could view the eclipse safely. The glasses used by ECSU students to view the eclipse were provided by the NASA Langley Research Center Office of Education. Ms. Jessica Hathaway, NASA intern helped to organize the safe viewing of the eclipse.

Dr. Linda Hayden, principal investigator for the CERSER program, was able to take part in the viewing at the VASC in Hampton, Virginia.
