With the support of community partners, the Virginia Air & Space Center celebrated African American contributions to STEM. Celebrating people such as Katherine Johnson and Mary Jackson, students took part in activities showcasing some of the skills it took for these women to make history and propel us into the future. Students also saw the Imax movie "Search for Life in Space 3D."
Roma Johns and Heather Wiggins served as coordinators for the Hampton Healthy Families School Age Programs students who came to the VASC STEM SATURDAY event.
