Elizabeth City Middle School is located in the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank School District of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. ECMS, Where Every Child Meets Success serves grades 6-8 focusing on providing “challenging experiences for their staff and students that results in high levels of achievement”. Mr. Luther accompanied Ms. Baltrop in speaking to a class of 6th graders on the importance of college and careers. The presentation highlighted the steps in obtaining information on how to receive funding for college, the application process and requirements, what to expect when attending college for the first time and the tools for establishing a career after college. The students walked away with a better understanding of what it means to attend a college or university and why it’s important to obtain an education.
