On November 14, 2009, representatives from Elizabeth City State University attended the Super Computing 2009 Symposium in Portland, Oregon. This was the 21st annual conference which is recognized globally as the top conference on High Performance Computing, networking, storage and analysis. SC09 brought together scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, programmers, system administrators, application developers, and program managers from around the world for a program of technical papers, tutorials, and research posters with a schedule of speakers and panel participants.

Representing ECSU were undergraduate students Cedric Hall and Robyn Evans, Grid Program Manager Mr. Je’aime Powell, and Mrs. Sharonda Walton, ECSU IT Customer Service Manager.
