The 2008 NSF Directors Meeting was held on September 15th at Clark Atlanta University (CAU), a WaterCAMPWS research partner institution. The theme of this year's meeting was Increasing the Broader Impact of Education and Diversity Programs. Dr. Linda Hayden, Director of the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) attended the meeting along with several undergraduate research students who presented their research during a poster session. Students from Elizabeth City State University attending were: Michael Jefferson, Jr., Patrina Bly, Bryce Carmichael, and Unquiea Wade. Another CERSER sponsored student, Brittany Maybin from Spelman College, presented her research poster from the summer 2008 Undergraduate Research Program at ECSU and received an award for her presentation. |
