On January 17-20, 2008, Undergraduate Research Students from Elizabeth City State University attended the 2008 FOCUS conference at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. This program was designed to expose undergraduate juniors and seniors to the benefits of continuing their education for an advanced degree. Undergraduates receive an overview of Georgia Tech's graduate degree programs along with assistance in searching for financial sources. Other aid includes assistance in the application and decision making process of selecting a graduate school. Attending from ECSU were Bryce Carmichael, Unquiea Wade, Lee Smalls, Jr., and Jamika Baltrop.
