Dr. Wang earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department of SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY, Syracuse, New York, U.S.A, in May 1998 and August 2006, respectively. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Mathematics & Computer Science Department and works in the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) of Elizabeth City State University, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He participates in the Polar Grid and CI-TEAM projects at the center and works in areas including Cyber-Infrastructure, Science Gateways, and virtual classrooms for the Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets project. He also works for the Education, Outreach and Training (EOT) project by mentoring students in doing projects.
