Dr. Cheryl Jackson-Lewis is currently serving as a Research Associate for the Center for Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER). She is the former Principal Investigator/Director of TRIO Programs at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU).

Dr. Lewis has 34 years of Student Personnel experience and over twenty years of administrative experience on the collegiate level. She has had extensive training in working with the disadvantaged and special needs populations. She also has a wealth of experience developing and executing pre-college & undergraduate research programs, and was highly successful in securing and managing grants and contracts ($13 million).
