Percy Adams Jr ::
Mississippi Valley State University :: Professional Statement |
My name is Percy Adams Jr. I am a sophomore computer science major with a minor in graphic design at Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) located in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Since an early age, I have always had a love for technology. From video games to cell phones and computers; the fascination of how they are made has always been interesting to me. However, it was not until I met an instructor at MVSU that open my eyes to the software side of electronics.
Today, I am on the journey to obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. At MVSU, I am a part of the MCIS department, directed by Dr. Latonya Garner. The goal of this department is to continuously refine their academic programs to keep their graduates competitive in this ever-changing world. While being engaged in this department I have acquired various skills which will serve me as I venture out and enter my career field and research experiences.
After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I plan to go get my Master’s Degree in Computer Science. With my master’s degree, I plan to start my career in virtual reality software development. Specifically, I hope to enter the virtual reality gaming field, and focus on developing low cost, but efficient virtual reality software for virtual reality gear. |
