| Dr. Darnell Johnson presented research from an ECSU team project titled “Successful Transition from Math Eight to Math I.” The purpose of this research was to find the best practices that are considered as solutions to meet the challenges of preparing Math I students from Pasquotank, Perquimans, and Washington County School districts. The goal was to enhance the teaching strategies that would enable students to be successful on the end of course state test. Understanding the factors that influence student success in Math I enhances opportunities for college entrance and career goals that may potentially increase participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. |
