The PiMERS Middle School researchers visited the Dismal Swamp State Park visitor center on June 27, 2017. Ms. Katie Sanford, a Dismal Swamp State Park ranger, gave researchers an overview of the wildlife to be found in the park and took them on a guided tour on the boardwalk through the Dismal Swamp. Researchers were also able to view the development and history of the Great Dismal Swamp Park and its canals in the visitor center museum.
