Network Operations Engineer
    Performing turn-up, testing, troubleshooting and monitoring for over 100 points of presence (POPs) for a national internet service procider (ISP). Harware includes Cisco routers, Lucent Postmasters, US Robotics Total Control, Xylogics Annex remote access servers, Sun Sparc servers, LarseCom and Adtran CSU/DSUs. Telco circuits include POTs, loop-start, wink-start and aggregate T1, and ISDN PRIs. Management platforms include HP OpenView, 3Com AccessView, US Robotics TCM and Lucent PMVision. Authentication protocols consists of RADIUS and ERPCD. filled-in for the Driector of Telecommunications Engineering during an extended leave of absence.

Systems Specialist/Electronic Tech
    Responsible for maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting the remote bar-code image processing system and associated LAN/WAN Network. System was primarily comprised of a DEC VAX server, Intel Multibus application-specific CPUs, SCSI storage drives, Racal brouter, Intel workstations, Thick ethernet and point-to-point T1 circuits. Test equipment included Sniffer and LANPharaoh.
1900 - 1992   Department of Veterans Affairs/Opsys Inc. 
	      Martinsburg, WV
Network Analyst
    Performed oversight functions for start-up of the nationwide 15,000 port Sprintbased X.25 network for the Department of Veterans Affairs. These functions primarily consisted of writing and canning Oracle SQL reports for VA management. This provided for tracking, verification and reporting on the contractors deliverables in the areas of network implementation and build-out, trouble ticket tracking, traffic statistics and service credit calculations due to network service interruptions.
1989 - 1990   Department of Energy/CDSI, Inc.  Rockville, MD
Senior Telecommunications Analyst
    Determined and facilitated appropriate transmission mediums for end-user connectivity to various applications on the DOEs nationwide telecommunications system. Mediums included dedicated and switched telco links to satellite and terrestrial-based switching nodes.

	      New York, NY
Senior Network Technician
    Planning for rehoming of 5,000 IBM 3270 LUs from a multi-linked SNA environmnet to a more cost-effective single link SNA backbone. Duties included designing the NOC layout and writing the PU 2 physical layer test procedures.

Network Technician
    Responsible for insuring that the vast number of cutovers to the X.25 based Consolidated Data Network (CDN) were coordinated properly. This included making sure that the various X.25 PADs, telco circuits, network hardware and software parms were in place prior to the scheduled cutover window.

Programmer
    Responsilbe for designing a relational database and writing aplications to track and provide automated reporting to plant management of behalf of the tasks performed by Westinghouse Engineering. Platform consisted of a standalone IBM PC running dBase III+.
1985 - 1986   Hershey Chocolate Company   Hershey, PA
Telecommunications Analyst
    Accomplished tasks included a 50% reduction in remote site switched access costs which entailed analyzing data link layer traffice followed by changing software parameters and hardware to operate in half-duplex mode. Reengineered and rebuilt a voice keyset system to integrate both voice-mail and data traffic. Responsible for troubleshooting chronic and 2nd level escalated netowrk problems in the IBM SNA environment.
1984 - 1985   SEI, Inc.   Wayne, PA
Senior Telecommunications Technician
    Responsible for troubleshooting the vast netionwide financial services network which included over 800 point-to-point and multi-point circuits. Network hardware included various time-division, statistical and frequency-division multipexors, network concentrators and modems. Utilized various VF transmission test sets and protocol anaylzers to test and troubleshoot.
1981 - 1984   Northeast Regional Data Center/

Teleprocessing Technician
    Addressed various end-user and network related problems in the IBM SNA environmnet. Utilized, now Netview products, NCCF and NDPA to control and manage the various domains, cross domains, PU and LU sessions. Installed and c onfigured 327X controllers, 3270 terminals, ascii-dump terminals and modems.
