Dr. Linda B. Hayden Principal Investigator for the NASA NRTS program at ECSU and Ms. Keisha Harrison, graduate student at University of Maryland presented at the IGARSS 2001 in Sydney Australia. Dr. Hayden presented You Be the Scientist with Satellite Imagery in EZ/EC Communities in an interactive session. Ms. Harrison presented Innovative Visualization of Geospatial Data for Transportation Engineering Applications in the field of visualizations.

The theme of IGARSS 2001 `Scanning the Present, Resolving the Future' provided the opportunity to assess the impact of recent advances in spatial data capturing techniques; to examine techniques for visualisation and interactive analysis and to reflect on the potential and real contributions remote sensing can and does make to environmental analysis, resource management and human well being. The symposium was open to all scientists and researchers working in remote sensing and related information technologies.
