The Posters on the Hill
event is a gathering of
undergraduate students
presenting their research
to the state legislators
in the capitol. This presentation
allows legislators to see
the current research being
undertaken by the students
within the University of
North Carolina system.
The event is sponsored
by the Council on Undergraduate
Research (CUR) which also
sponsors another presentation
in Washington D.C. each
year.
The mission of the
Council on Undergraduate
Research is to support
and promote high-quality
undergraduate student-faculty
collaborative research
and scholarship. The
Council on Undergraduate
Research (CUR) and its
affiliated colleges, universities,
and individuals share
a focus on providing undergraduate
research opportunities
for faculty and students
at predominantly undergraduate
institutions.
The group of students
from Elizabeth City State
University were led by
Dr. Ronald Blackmon, Dean
of the School of Math,
Science and Technology.
Representing ECSU were:
Don Morring, Karitsa Williams,
Asani Brewton, and Jeff
