Off
to a Flying Start, a NASA Langley Learning Technologies
Project, is a K-4 online telecommunications project that uses
worldwide collaboration and aeronautics to provide learning
opportunities to students in math and science. The length
of project participation is determined by the classroom teacher.
Off to a Flying Start consists of three modules: Introduction
to Flight, Flying the Falcon Flyer, and Experimental Design.
Students
from Perquimans Central School and T.S. Cooper Elementary
School visited the Virginia Air and Space Center on Friday,
June 14th, 2002. While there they enjoyed various exhibits
and and IMAX movie. These programs are sponsored by the NASA
Network Resources and Training Site at Elizabeth City State
University.
