This workshop unravels the mystery of how a computer runs. Participants receive hands on training for hardware novices. Participants learn to install the system software and interpret the Macintosh error messages. They disassemble and reassemble PC and Macintosh equipment.
    Participants also learn to:
  • Identify and remove components
  • Reassemble a Macintosh
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repair
  • Install memory chips(SIMMs)
  • Run system diagnostics

Workshop was conducted by Mr. Joal Hathaway, Technology Outreach Manager for the NASA Network Resources and Training Site on the campus of Elizabeth City State University.
